About the Joelton Wrestling Club
Joelton Wrestling Club was built from a dream by our founder, Spencer Graham. What began as a small group of families training in a simple pole barn quickly grew into a structured youth wrestling program serving the Joelton and surrounding communities.
In our first season, the program grew from 6 athletes to over 40, driven by families who believed in building something meaningful through wrestling, discipline, and community.
As the program expanded, we were blessed by the Paradise Ridge Community Center, which now serves as our primary training facility.
Our Mission
Our mission is to develop strong, disciplined, and confident athletes through wrestling while building character that carries beyond the mat.
We emphasize strength, discipline, respect, and faith in everything we do on and off the mat.
Who We Serve
We serve boys and girls ages 4 through 8th grade, from beginners to experienced wrestlers. Most of our athletes are in their first, second, or third year of wrestling, while others compete at regional and state levels.
Every athlete is welcome, regardless of experience level.
Coaching & Leadership
All coaches and board members serve as volunteers. Our coaching team includes individuals with wrestling and athletic backgrounds who are committed to athlete development, safety, and long term growth.
All coaches are background checked, and practices are structured to ensure a safe and supervised training environment.
Competition
We compete in AAU sanctioned tournaments and events. Our athletes range from first time competitors to experienced tournament placers at the regional and state level.
Our Approach
We are not a win at all costs program. We focus on long term athlete development, effort, and character over short term results.
Athletes are taught to work hard, compete with respect, and grow through discipline and accountability.
Organization
Joelton Wrestling Club is in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) nonprofit status and is operated by a volunteer board that oversees the direction, structure, and development of the program.
Our Commitment
Joelton Wrestling Club exists to give kids a place to learn wrestling, build confidence, and develop character through hard work and accountability.
We are a volunteer led organization built by families who believe in the value of wrestling and community.
